Contractual Agreement

By placing an order with Jordet’s Homemade Delights, LLC you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions. This agreement is between you (“Customer,” “Client,” “You,” “Your”) and Jordet’s Homemade Delights, LLC.

Your signature or payment on your contract or invoice establishes a legally binding agreement between you and Jordet’s Homemade Delights, LLC. Jordet’s Homemade Delights reserves the right to decline goods or services to a customer. 

Chef Dr. Gidget’s Guarantee

I strive to provide high-quality products and services. I will provide a professionally decorated dessert as specified in the invoice or contract. I guarantee that the flavors, size, and general design elements will be met as outlined. If you are not satisfied with your order, please let me know at the time you receive your order. Upon visual inspection of the product and its departure from the premises, the customer or designee approves the products’s visual appearance and then, waives any rights to a refund based on the style, design, or visual appearance of the product.

Ingredients

All products are made to order with high quality ingredients. Products are made to be eaten on the day of celebration. All Custom Orders come with a Care Card to assist the Customer in understanding how to handle purchased products. With the variety of ingredients used in the baking and decorating process, Jordet’s Homemade Delights cannot guarantee an allergen free environment. It is the responsibility of the Customer to inform Chef Dr. Gidget prior to the confirmation of their booking of any allergy issues. It is the responsibility of the Customer to inform their guests of all allergy information and accordingly Jordet’s Homemade Delights will not be held liable for any allergic reaction resulting from consumption of the product. Artistic License and Disclaimer

When you sign your contract and pay for your order, you agree that Chef Dr. Gidget reserve the right to exercise artistic licensure to guarantee the structural, visual, and creative integrity of a cake or dessert. Chef Dr. Gidget reserves the right to exercise artistic license in the creation of her products. While Chef Dr. Gidget aims to meet all specific requests, variations in design and appearance may occur. As each baked good is handmade, exact replication of designs are not guaranteed.

Custom cakes and custom decorated sugar cookies are works of art. Therefore, the work of another decorator will not be copied due to copyright and trademark laws. However, the design will be as similar as possible. Every attempt is made to provide the design as requested, including matching colors. Although it may not be possible to match an exact shade, it will be as close as possible. The final product may be subject to slight variations. Also, be aware that exposure to light can cause colors to change. There are no discounts or refunds if the exact shade of a color is not achieved, or if a variation occurs due to lighting. If a major variation needs to be made, you will be notified to discuss a re-design.

Quotes

All quotes are valid for seven (7) days from the date of issue.

Invoices

All confirmed orders will be accompanied by an invoice detailing the date and time of pick-up, products purchased with order details, and the total cost. Please review your invoice carefully and notify us of any discrepancies within 24 hours.

A reminder invoice for final payment will be sent four (4) days before your scheduled pick-up date. You may pay the final payment through Square or cash upon pick-up. If you plan to pay cash, please let Chef Dr. Gidget know. If you do not receive the final invoice, please contact Chef Dr. Gidget at 850-512-0556.

If the final invoice is not paid in full on or before the due date by Midnight CST, you forfeit your order. Absolutely no refund, future credit, or date change will be permitted under any circumstances. At my discretion, if the invoice remains in effect, a late fee of 10% of the total order cost will be assessed and payment in full is due at the time of confirmation.

Deposit

A 50% non-refundable deposit is required within three (3) days of receiving the invoice to secure your order. This deposit confirms your booking and allows me to begin preparations for your order.

In the case where unforeseen circumstances (e.g., illness) prevent the ability for Jordet’s Homemade Delights to complete your order by the scheduled date, the deposit will be refunded within seven (7) days of notification to the Customer.

Payments

The remaining balance of your order is due three (3) days before pick-up. We accept payments via Square or cash. If paying in cash, please contact Chef Dr. Gidget at 850-400-4283 to inform her of this. Payments must be made in full before the order is released to the customer.

Payments processed through Square are encrypted and subject to Square’s terms and conditions. Please ensure that your payment information is accurate and up-to-date to avoid any delays.

Order Changes

Any request for changes to your order must be submitted and confirmed by Jordet’s Homemade Delights at least 10 days prior to your scheduled pick-up date. Any changes after this time are not guaranteed.

Order Discrepancies

Any discrepancy with your payment or order should be immediately brought to the attention of Jordet’s Homemade Delights. Please text or call Chef Dr. Gidget at 850-400-4283 as soon as the discrepancy is discovered so that she can instruct you on next steps. For product discrepancies, a picture and explanation of the issues are required. I will do my best to resolve the issue promptly.

Pick-Ups

All pick-ups must be scheduled in advance. Payment of the deposit via the invoice confirms your pick-up date and time. Please arrive at the designated time to ensure a smooth transaction. If you are unable to make your scheduled pick-up time, please notify Chef Dr. Gidget at 850-400-4283 as soon as possible.

The Customer is liable for any damage, accident, or mishap that may occur once the cake is released from the care and custody of Jordet’s Homemade Delights. Jordet’s Homemade Delights is not liable for any damage that may occur thereafter.

No-Call/No-Show Orders

Orders not picked up by the end of the business day on the scheduled pick-up time without prior notification will be considered abandoned. No refund, future credit, or date change will be permitted for abandoned orders. Abandoned orders may be resold or donated at the discretion of Jordet’s Homemade Delights.

Cancellations

Orders can be cancelled up to 7 days before the scheduled pick-up or delivery date. The 50% deposit is non-refundable, but any additional payments made will be refunded. Cancellations made after the final payment that is required three (3) days before your scheduled pick-up date will not be eligible for a refund.

Refunds

Refunds will be issued on a case-by-case basis. Please contact Chef Dr. Gidget at 850-400-4283 with any concerns so that a resolution can be determined. Refunds require a description of the issue, pictures of the issue, and/or return of the unfinished product.

All orders are custom baked. No refunds or exchanges for custom products that meet my quality standards once a cake has been picked up and “Accepted” by you or your designated party. Additionally, under no circumstances will Jordet’s Homemade Delights, LLC provide a refund above the cost of the order. Refund requests due to decorating style, color shade, general decoration, or design will not be honored or considered.

Refunds are only given if the product does not meet the flavor, size, and general description detailed in the invoice. Refunds will not be issued for dissatisfaction with design choices that fall under the Artistic License and Disclaimer.

All products are the responsibility of you, the customer, once it leaves my possession. You are responsible for transporting the product safely (e.g., flat surface in your car) and ensuring that it is stored as instructed on the Care Card you receive with your order. Refunds will not be issued for products damaged while it is in your possession.

In the case where unforeseen circumstances (e.g., illness) prevent the ability for Jordet’s Homemade Delights to complete your order by the scheduled date, all funds paid will be refunded within seven (7) days of notification to the Customer.

Publication

Jordet’s Homemade Delights respects the privacy of all our clients. The identity of clients (photographs of people, last names, event details, contract details) will not be disclosed without permission. However, photographs of purchased products may be used on company websites, social media platforms, or marketing materials. Jordet’s Homemade Delights, LLC also reserves the right to use any photographs for display or promotion without compensation to you.
